THE DRAW

Draws are held on Saturday at 7:10pm in the presence of a Notary Public and a representative appointed by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority, MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited’s representatives, as well as members of the general public. Lotto draws are televised live on Melita Cable Channel 4, Melita Digital Channel 106 , NET TV, and ONE TV.

Results of the lotto draws are also featured on the local newspapers as well as on this website (click here). The information may also be obtained from any one of MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited’s Points of Sale (Lotto Booths). Other content providers also feature this information, including Vodafone’s SMS Alert and Go Mobile’s IOD.

If a public holiday falls on a Saturday, MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited may decide to hold the draw on the preceding Friday. If the preceding Friday is also a public holiday, the draw may take place the following Monday.

WINNINGS

To win, all you have to do is to match your selected numbers with the drawn numbers. The more numbers you play, the more you increase your winning probabilities.

Following is a table showing the corresponding winning amounts for each Game Type:

When the total value of all prizes, of all game categories, except Quaterno, exceeds 70% of total sales in a particular draw, MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited can reduce each prize proportionately so that the value of all prizes of these games shall not exceed such an amount. However, in the event that the winnings in any particular draw are less than 30% of sales, then the winnings shall be adjusted upwards so that the total winnings for that particular draw shall amount to 30% of sales of that draw.

In the event that the Quaterno Category I Prize is not won during a particular draw, then this prize shall be increased (together with its associated capping) by a minimum increment of €5,000 (or as may be advised by MALTCO LOTTERIES from time to time) each week until it is won.

The Quaterno Category I Prize will revert to the minimum amount of €200,000, for the draw immediately following that in which it has been won and will thereafter increase by the minimum increment of €5,000 (or as may be advised by MALTCO LOTTERIES from time to time) per week until it is won.

If in any particular draw, there is more than one winning column in Category I in the Quaterno game, then the top prize won on the Quaterno in that same draw, will be split according to the number of winning columns.

If for example, in a particular draw where the Category I prize is €200,000, and Player A plays a Quaterno fully expanded ticket of 5 numbers and matches all 5 numbers, and Player B plays a Quaterno ticket with 4 numbers and matches all 4 numbers, then both of them are winners of the top category prize in the Quaterno game. Player A will win €166,667, whilst Player B will win €33,333.

Furthermore, in the event that winnings in Category II and Category III in any one draw exceed seventy percent (70%) of the sales of the Quaterno Game for that particular draw, MALTCO LOTTERIES may exercise at its discretion the option to limit such winnings to not less than seventy percent (70%) of the sales of the Quaterno Game for that draw.

Notwithstanding, MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited reserves the right to choose to pay more than all the limitations indicated above.
