MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited is seeking candidates to fill the post of Network Engineer in the Maltco Networks and Systems Operations team.

The candidate for this post must:

  • Be in possession of a technical University qualification in Computer Science, Networking, Security and Communication related subjects;
  • Have strong organisational and analytical abilities;
  • Be willing to work flexible hours;
  • Be fluent in oral and written English.
The following attributes will be considered an asset:
  • Experience in Network Operating Systems platforms such as Microsoft, Linux, UNIX and OpenVMS;
  • Experience in supporting Oracle or other RDBMS environments;
  • Experience in the operation, management and support of computer networks and network security systems;
  • Experience in operating and maintaining secure and highly available computer room environments;
  • 5 years experience in an IT environment;
  • Certifications in the above fields.

OPERATIONS SUPPORT PERSONNEL

OSPs provide services and support for the network of Points of Sales located throughout the Maltese Islands, selling National Lottery Games of Lotto, Super 5, U*Bet, Scratchers and Quick Keno using a state-of-the-art, on-line computer system.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Possession of a minimum of three years clean driving license.
  • Fluency in both written and oral English and Maltese.
  • Have good communication and telephone skills.
  • Smart and pleasant personality.
  • Ability to work as part of a team on a shift basis.
  • A technical background will be considered an asset.
