Terms and Conditions:
 

  1. All participants are required to comply with the Terms and Conditions of the 'Divided Lotteries brought to you by Scratchers instant tickets' competition, as organised by Watermelon (the "Organisers"), with the participation of MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited ("Maltco"), and Idea Casa.

  2. To Participate in the Scratchers Divided Lottery, you must:
    1. Buy Scratchers instant tickets. Any NON-WINNING ticket may participate in this lottery.
    2. Fill in your name, I.D. Card No. and Phone No. on the back of each ticket. Please ensure that the barcode on the back of the ticket is not covered in any way.
    3. Send your NON-WINNING instant tickets to Kompetizzjoni DIVIDED, P.O. Box 33, B'Kara; OR deposit them within the urn at Smart Supermarket, Naxxar Road, Balzan.
    4. Participating non-winning Scratchers Instant Tickets shall be sent by post by Tuesday; or placed within the urn itself at Smart Supermarket, an hour before the draw.
    5. Tickets received after the stipulated date shall participate in the following week’s draw.

  3. The actual Lottery shall take place on Wednesday, (but broadcast during the prime-time program Divided on Thursday evenings).

  4. The Competition shall run for 7 consecutive weeks (starting from 17th December 2009 through to 28th Januaray 2010) and in each week, one prize is awarded.

  5. A Grand Prize Draw will take place at the end of the 7-week period (4th February 2010).

  6. The first 7 weekly winners would be the sole eligible participants for the first grand prize draw. Additional weekly draws will take place throughout a second 7-week period, and these 7 winners will be eligible to participate in the second grand prize.

  7. The weekly prizes shall be split as follows:
    • If the non–winning Scratchers Instant Ticket drawn is a €1 or €2 price category, the prize will be equivalent to €50 voucher from Smart Supermarket;
    • If the non–winning Scratchers Instant Ticket drawn is of €3, €4 or €5, the prize will be equivalent to a €100 voucher from Smart Supermarket.

  8. The grand prize will comprise of €2,500 worth from Idea Casa.

  9. MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited Authorised Agents, their assistants/employees, spouses/partners and children living in the same household as well as MALTCO employees, their spouses/partners and children living in the same household are NOT eligible to participate in this competition.

  10. The Competition is only open to players of sixteen years of age and over.

  11. The Organiser is responsible to ask the holder of the drawn ticket, off air, a skill question which must be answered correctly. In the event that the skill question is answered incorrectly then this will be announced in the programme of the following week and two (2) tickets (instead of one) will be drawn from the Scratchers tickets participating for that following week. The winner of any weekly draw cannot participate in any other subsequent weekly draws, save for the final draw of the Grand Prize. If this were the case, a second ticket shall be drawn.

  12. A release form must be signed and a valid I.D. Card must be presented to be eligible to claim the prize.

  13. The Prize voucher must be claimed from MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited offices within a maximum of 60 days from the day the winning name is drawn. In default, the winner shall irremediably lose all and any right to claim any prize. Prizes can be claimed during office hours, between Monday and Friday, except for Public holidays.

  14. Any further expenses, resulting directly or indirectly from this competition, as well as expenses which arise and are not listed in the above prizes have to be borne by the winner. Maltco cannot in any way be held liable or responsible for any expenses which result directly or indirectly from this competition.

  15. The prize voucher must be used within a period of 6 months from the day the winning name is drawn.

  16. All prizes must be accepted as awarded. No substitution, cash redemption or transfer of the prize will be permitted.

  17. By sending their non-winning tickets with the information required as stipulated above, the Participants give their explicit consent to the organisers or MALTCO to process their personal details in accordance with the Data Protection Act (Cap. 440 of the Laws of Malts), and consent to the use of this personal information for publicity use, without any further compensation.

  18. At any time the organisers and MALTCO reserve the right to stop, suspend, amend or otherwise alter the Competition, and consequently these Terms and Conditions, as the organisers and MALTCO may deem fit in their sole and absolute discretion, without notice and any liability in Participants' regard, but in accordance with applicable law.

  19. The organisers and MALTCO reserve the right in their sole and absolute discretion, to change the format and manner in which the Competition is conducted, as well as the prizes on offer without notice or liability to Participants.

  20. The organisers and MALTCO shall not entertain manifestly unfounded complaints or contestations made by the Participants.

  21. The organisers and MALTCO are not liable for any damages suffered by the participant due to the non observance of these Terms and Conditions.

  22. Participants shall not be entitled to receive any prizes won by them if they are prohibited Participants.

  23. The organisers and MALTCO shall not be liable for any delays in the delivery of prizes to winning Participants.

  24. The organisers and MALTCO shall not be liable to any person for any direct or indirect loss suffered by any person arising from (a) the cancellation or delay of the Competition, (b) the participation or non-participation of any person in the Competition.

  25. In the event that these Terms and Conditions do not, or do not clearly, cater for a solution to any matter which may arise, then the organisers and MALTCO shall have the sole and absolute discretion to decide finally on such matter.

  26. Participation in the Competition shall be deemed to be an unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
 
All winners are valid, subject to confirmation.
