The rules below are a summary of a selection of rules which can be found in the U*BET Horse Racing Players’ Booklet. The complete list of rules and regulations is available in the Booklet which may be found in any MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited Point of Sale or from the Head Office of the company during office hours or from this website by clicking here. Participation by persons under the age of 16 and other prohibited ticket holders is not allowed. Betting on V Bets (i.e. V4, V5, V65, V64, V75) is accepted up to 30 minutes before the scheduled time of the first race in the V Bet or up to the exact time as announced by MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited. Bets may be cancelled from the same terminal within 5 minutes from the time the ticket was issued. Stakes participate in the foreign betting pools at a rate established by the foreign operator of the betting pool. Prizes will be paid out at prevailing rates of exchange. Winnings may be claimed within 30 days from the draw date of the ticket. If the last day falls on a weekend or public holiday, the deadline is extended to the next working day. If there are a large number of winners, especially in the lower categories of V64, V65 and V75, it is possible that the total amount won will be less than the total stake. Moreover in certain cases the prize money for the lower categories may be withheld if it is below a certain pre-determined threshold. This pre-determined amount is subject to fluctuation due to foreign currency changes. Please refer to the information on each specific bet for these thresholds. Prize funds for V64, V65 and V75 can increase if no-one wins the top category in the bet type, or if the prize money per winning column is below the pre-determined amount mentioned above. If races or race meetings are moved to another race course or postponed by up to 72 hours from their scheduled time, these will still retain their validity. If one race forming part of a V4 bet is cancelled, declared void, or postponed for more than 72 hours from the scheduled time, or up to two races forming part of a V5, V64, V65, or V75 bet are cancelled, declared void, or postponed for more than 72 hours from the scheduled time, then the V Bets in question still retain their validity. If more races than those specified above are however affected then the bet will be cancelled and the player can get a refund of his stake upon presentation of the ticket. Participation in U*BET Horse Racing Betting is subject to the condition that the player accepts fully and unconditionally the relevant provisions of the Law, including the Lotteries and Other Games Act 2001, the General Rules for the operation of U*BET Horse Racing Betting and the Special regulations for each bet type as stipulated in the U*BET Horse Racing Players’ Booklet, as well as the special rules and conditions that may appear on the U*BET Horse Racing Programmes or on other communication channels. By submitting the coupon or verbally placing the bet at the Point of Sale, the player accepts the above conditions as binding.
